Chicago Washington is a commercial real estate advisory firm that provides distressed debt and restructuring/workout services, strategic transactional expertise on capital market situations, and "part-time" CFO/SVP of Capital Markets-type services for Commercial Real Estate ("CRE") portfolios or asset specific situations.

Who We Are

Chicago Washington is led by John Avioli, a 25+ year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, whose experience includes capital market strategies and transactions for office, retail, hotel, multifamily, mixed-use, industrial, self-storage and land assets through all parts of the CRE life cycle.

How We Work

Chicago Washington functions as an internal member of the client's team (in conjunction with the client's counsel and other advisors); not as a broker. Our # 1 objective is ALIGNMENT with our client so that we determine the best capital market (and sometimes asset) strategy, and execute with discipline by balancing RISK, ALTERNATIVES, and OPPORTUNITY while PROTECTING THE DOWNSIDE.

Who We Serve

We bring executive-level experience not always present in smaller to mid-size organizations involving assets or portfolios usually between $50 million and $2 billion (a larger organization usually has internal expertise), including family owned businesses, non-profits with institutional quality real estate that has or could qualify for commercial uses, and institutional or HNW JV platforms (private and within REITs).
